A year at our school
Meet our 2026 Captains
We are proud to introduce our 2026 Senior Leaders:
Evie Turnbull, Isaac Shaw, Amelia Robinson and Scarlett Smith.
As we step into this role, we are committed to serving as leaders and driving positive change within our school community. Leadership is not about standing at the front—it’s about working together, listening, and ensuring every voice is heard. Over the next year, we look forward to collaborating with students, staff, and our wider community to strengthen the sense of connection across Lambton High.
A key focus for us will be supporting our junior students and building strong relationships between the senior student body, students, and teachers, all while upholding our core values of excellence, integrity, respect, and responsibility.
What excites us most is the opportunity to work as a team—both with our fellow captains and with the entire student body. At Lambton High, leadership is about collaboration. We aim to listen, learn, and empower others to lead in their own way. By fostering belonging and trust, we hope to create an environment where everyone feels confident to contribute and grow.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited for the challenges and opportunities to come. It is an honour to serve as your school captains, and we are committed to building on the strong foundation of Lambton High—ensuring it continues to be a place of growth, respect, and opportunity for all.
Celebrating Success: Amalie Brown Wins First Place!
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Amalie Brown, who recently completed her Cert II in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles at TAFE. As part of her coursework, Amalie designed and created a unique garment using upcycled and repurposed wool—an exploration of wool’s enduring quality and timeless appeal.
Her teachers recognised the creativity and craftsmanship in her work and encouraged her to enter the prestigious Fleece to Fashion Awards. From a field of remarkable entries, Amalie’s garment was selected as a finalist, showcased at the gala event in Armidale on 15 November.
We are thrilled to announce that Amalie won First Place in the Developing Designer category. This is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to her talent, dedication, and innovative approach to sustainable fashion.
Congratulations, Amalie—what a fantastic milestone and a very bright beginning to a promising fashion journey!
