Green Day
Green Day is our annual environmental celebration, engaging the whole school in promoting awareness and action for a healthier planet. For more than thirty years, each Green Day has featured a themed program of music, drama, ‘green’ food, and creative artworks—all carrying a strong environmental message.
As climate change continues to reshape our world, it is vital that we educate and inspire our community to protect the environments we depend on. Green Day encourages everyone to learn, take action, and have fun while making a positive difference.
Harmony Day
Lambton High School celebrate Harmony Day each year with a vibrant program of activities that showcase the rich cultural diversity of Australia. This special occasion also aligns with the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and respect.
As part of the festivities, students from diverse cultural backgrounds are invited to bring in traditional dishes that reflect their heritage. These foods will be shared with peers at our lunchtime food stalls, offering a wonderful opportunity for students to experience flavours from around the world.
Students are encouraged to wear either traditional cultural attire or the colour orange, the official symbol of Harmony Day in Australia.
This event is designed to be an enjoyable and meaningful celebration that promotes a strong sense of belonging for everyone in our multicultural school community.
Naidoc Week
Our annual NAIDOC Week celebrations honour the rich histories, cultures, dances, and languages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the Ongoing Custodians of the lands and waterways on which we learn, work, and live.
Each year, students and our wider community come together to celebrate not only the achievements of the past, but the bright future ahead—shaped by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the enduring legacy of our ancestors. This year’s celebrations truly reflected the theme: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.
