Canvas

The CANVAS learning management system is our chosen online platform for learning, communication and all things Lambton.

Students will receive assesment task notifications, key communication and classwork via the CANVAS platform.

• • Parents will need to have linked their Sentral Parent Portal account to their student/s using the Sentral ‘Family Key’ before accessing CANVAS as an observer. The following steps will assist in getting setup in CANVAS:

  Steps for Setting up CANVAS:

  1. Connect your child in the Sentral Parent Portal using the family key sent to you - search for Access Key in your emails if you have not yet done this.
  2. Sentral will sync with Canvas overnight - you will need to wait until the next day to proceed further.
  3. Login to Canvas via the Parent Access link
  4. The first time you go to Canvas click on forgot password as we legally can't sync passwords.
  5. You will be sent an email from Canvas to reset your password, please follow the directions in this email.
  6. When you login to Canvas do not use the Microsoft Login button, this is only for staff and students

  Family Key Issues?

  If you can’t find your sentral family key please Contact us with the following details:

  • Subject: SENTRAL PORTAL ACCESS
  • Content: your STUDENTS FULL NAME/S and the FULL NAMES OF PARENT/S requiring access.
