Bring your own device BYOD

As part of our strong and ongoing commitment to 21st century teaching and learning excellence, Lambton High School is trialling a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. BYOD refers to where students bring a personally owned and school-approved device to school for the purpose of learning. The school can provide the ability to connect compatible devices to a filtered internet service.

Different BYOD models have been considered but Lambton High School has chosen the model known as ‘BYO Minimum Standard’. Under this model, students are permitted to bring devices that can connect to the school’s wi-fi and meet the requirements outlined, for example, screen size. We have chosen this model as we believe it is the most flexible and cheapest model for our community.
